Mold Inspection & Identification

There are literally thousands of types of mold and mildew, so it is crucial that any contamination over 2 square feet be identified by a specialist to ensure that proper mitigation & remediation techniques are designed and performed. We will call on a 3^rd party, specifically an Industrial Hygienist, to analyze the nature and scope of the mold exposure and write a protocol to kill the mold.  We do not identify mold types or write protocol ourselves because we feel this would be a conflict of interest.

Mold Containment

Once the protocol has been written, we will effectively seal off the contaminated area with an air-tight, negative pressure barrier to keep mold spores from becoming disseminated throughout your home or business as we start to disturb the mold. This technique allows you to stay in your home or business as the work is performed, keeping disruption to your life at a minimum.

Mold Mitigation & Remediation

Depending on the type of mold found after testing and inspection, we follow the specific protocol written by the 3rd party Industrial Hygienist. Actions may include washing affected area with an aqueous solution containing bleach (or other acceptable sanitizing agent), removing materials from the home or business that have been contaminated andsealing the remaining materials with an encapsulant to prevent re-growth of new mold, just to name a few. The Industry Hygienist will then revisit the site, re-inspect the work we’ve performed and will give a time-stamped clearance that the mold cleanup is complete and has been effectively remediated.
